As part of the delivery process, customers’ orders will be delivered in reusable packaging and subsequently collected from their doorsteps once the packaging has been used
Uber Eats is rolling out an eco-friendly experiment that will permit customers in central London to order takeaways in reusable and returnable containers, with the objective of reducing single-use packaging. This trial will commence on Tuesday and will be available to residents living in Lambeth, Southwark, Westminster, and the City.
Additionally, parts of Camden, Islington, and Kensington and Chelsea will be included in the initiative, allowing customers to choose reusable packaging from particular restaurants during the six-month trial period. Following their meal, customers can have their packaging collected by scanning a QR code and leaving it outside their door from the day after.
