Paptic has introduced a new packaging solution for feminine care products, utilising its recyclable, wood fibre-based material.
Paptic has introduced a new packaging solution for feminine care products, utilising its recyclable, wood fibre-based material. This innovation aims to provide a soft and pleasant user experience while addressing the issue of flexible plastic waste. Paptic’s materials are designed for resource efficiency, allowing for recycling alongside paper and cardboard, and they meet several sustainability regulations, including the Packaging Waste Regulation and the Single-Use Plastics Directive.
The lightweight and heat-sealable nature of Paptic’s materials facilitates easy processing on existing plastic converting lines, enabling manufacturers to transition from conventional plastics without significant additional investment. Paptic also offers FSC-certified options, emphasising responsible sourcing. Alexandros Skouras, Hygiene Segment Director at Paptic, highlights the dual focus on sustainability and enhanced functional performance, positioning the product as a renewable alternative suited for personal care items.
The company’s commitment to sustainability extends to its fibre-based materials, which are already over 84% recyclable. With growing interest in reducing plastic dependency, Paptic’s foray into the feminine care sector is part of a broader industry trend towards eco-friendly packaging solutions, as seen with other major brands adopting similar initiatives.
