LVMH Beauty and Dow have announced a partnership aimed at accelerating the adoption of sustainable packaging solutions throughout LVMH’s range of perfume and cosmetic brands.
The pair will join forces to introduce sustainable packaging alternatives for a number of products within the Dior conglomerate’s perfume and cosmetic portfolio. The two companies will collaborate to develop bio-based and circular plastics that can be seamlessly integrated into the product applications without affecting quality or functionality.
Claude Martinez, Executive President and Managing Director of LVMH Beauty, explains, “At LVMH, with our Life 360 program, we made the decision that our packaging will contain zero plastic from virgin fossil resources in a near future. Collaborating with Dow in developing sustainable SURLYN™ is key as this material is used in some of our iconic perfumes, starting with GUERLAIN La Petite Robe Noire. It is helping LVMH achieve our sustainability targets without any compromise on quality.”
