Cracking The Cap Code: The Bottle Collective’s Sustainable Fibre Solution

The Bottle Collective are revolutionising packaging with fibre-based caps for a greener, plastic-free future!

The Bottle Collective is exploring the use of Dry Moulded Fibre (DMF) technology to create fibre-based bottle caps and closures, providing a sustainable alternative to plastic.

This innovation, led by PulPac and PA Consulting, utilises renewable pulp and cellulose resources to manufacture recyclable packaging. The DMF process consumes less water and emits fewer carbon emissions than plastic production or traditional wet moulding.

These fibre-based caps and closures are part of a broader push to reduce single-use plastics, with applications spanning various industries such as food, beverages, and personal care. This initiative aims to scale production to meet global demand while maintaining competitive costs and performance, aligning with the Bottle Collective’s goal of creating environmentally friendly, mass-market packaging solutions.
