Around 200 000 tonnes of sheep wool goes unused in Europe every year.
Woola uses such waste wool and turns it into a sustainable alternative to bubble wrap.
Wool is a naturally high-tech fibre. Its elasticity, water repellency, and resistance to temperature extremes make wool a perfect material for packing items that need extra cushioning.
Packaging made of wool is durable and can be reused multiple times. We’re setting up a supply chain to keep the precious material in the loop.
Woola packaging is used by premium ecommerce and luxury retailers to protect fragile products during shipping and deliver a message of sustainability along with the parcel.
Woola’s product range features different variations of Wool Envelopes, and Bottle Sleeves. We’re also offer custom packaging solutions and are working on a few new concepts that will be presented at the show.
More info about the two main products:
1. Wool Envelopes: Perfect for packing small fragile items like jewellery, eyewear or accessories, Wool Envelopes are made of two easily separable layers. The inner layer is made of waste wool wool, which protects fragile items, provides water repellency, and resistance to temperature extremes. The exterior layer is made of recycled paper or glassine paper and can be customised with your logo. Wool Envelopes are mainly used by ecommerce retailers to ship small fragile products like beauty, skincare or jewelry to customers.
2. Bottle Sleeves: Woola’s Bottle Sleeves make shipping glass-bottled beverages a breeze. The sleeves are super simple to slip onto bottles and come with a small tag that explains the reuse-recycle-return options. The Bottle Sleeves are available in four standard sizes for most common glass-bottled beverage categories.
