The Berry M&H cluster have combined forces to fast track to market a new 100ml Sanitiser pack, adding much needed and sought-after capacity in the fight against Covid-19.
The pack was generated using an existing product, the 28mm Secure flip-top, a cap not normally used in the personal care sector but adaptable and available with good capacity enabling a complete pack solution. Berry M&H designed and tooled two sets of moulds from their Beccles London Road facility in under four weeks and will start production and supply in May.
Graham Lazzari, Berry M&H Technical Manager said that, “The whole project was made possible due to the close collaboration between the two companies and the willingness to work together, sharing technical information and experience to ensure a swift and efficient process through, design, tool manufacture and development. It also showed the capability and benefit of utilising Berry M&H’s in-house design and tool room facilities at the Beccles site.”
There has already been a lot of interest in the pack with orders already taken before the tooling was actually completed. Once up and running the two sets of tools will have a combined capacity for circa 1m packs a month.
The bottle is made from HDPE and its oval design facilitates a generous label area as well as enable the consumer to squeeze the bottle easily in order to dispense the product.
