The new Splendorgel High Barrier Technology is the first paper from Fedrigoni that can replace plastic in hundreds of indoor and outdoor applications. It represents an important milestone in the Group’s commitment to the switch from plastic to paper and to sustainability. The new paper is resistant to water and entirely recyclable (Aticelca® certified) and can replace plastic in a myriad of uses in different markets.
The innovative High Barrier Technology treatment has been applied to Splendorgel, known for its high degree of whiteness, but it can potentially be applied to countless substrates in different colours, finishes and grammages.
In shops and stores, this new paper can replace the plastic tags that accompany packages of vegetables, fruit, fresh food and any item that requires water- and moisture-resistant tags.
Hotels, restaurants and bars can use it not only for the menus inside and on outdoor tables but also for their signs and temporary promotional banners. One example is the posters with the food lists in fast-food and street-food outlets. In out-of-home advertising, the applications are endless: advertising, hoardings, posters for merchandising activities, etc. And let’s not forget special packaging for the cosmetics industry or plant labels for gardening.
