RAJA are the first to market with the new Climapack; comprised of 2 sheets of FSC certified Climaliner and a RESY certified double wall box. The Climaliner, included within the Climapack, is a pre-cut, multi-layer paper honeycomb insulant enveloped by Kraft paper, providing the thermal protection. The Climaliner itself is 100% recyclable, renewable and biodegradable. When combined with Recycold™ gel packs and sealed using RAJA self-sealing paper tape, packages containing ambient, chilled, or frozen items can be kept temperature consistent for up to 35 hours, ensuring that perishable content arrives to the end user with no spoilage.
In addition to the Climapack’s ecological benefits, it also outperforms traditional EPS alternatives when tested. The Climapack also offers much better density per pallet; for example you would require 188 pallets worth of EPS boxes to provide thermal protection for 6,750 x 24L boxes, but switching to Climapacks requires just 45 pallets.
The customer is supplied with enough liners needed to pack the quantity of boxes they buy, saving on storage space, time, and planning when ordering. By supplying the correct number of liners to boxes, RAJA UK are removing the risk of overbuying, overpacking, and waste material meaning the customer will only use what they need. Not only this, but the customer can save up to 35% by purchasing the Climapack instead of the liners and boxes separately. The Climapack is supplied and delivered by pallet, simplifying logistics, optimising space within the vehicles and resulting in reduced journeys. These efficiencies reduce logistics costs, mileage, and carbon footprint, not only by RAJA, but by our customers, too. By changing the way customers purchase two core products and combining them into one efficient solution, RAJA encourages customers to review their own costs outside of the amount of money spend on the goods: their fuel, freight, storage, and labour costs.
