Advent calendars for the beauty sector have become hugely popular and are an ideal format to enable consumers easily to trial a wide variety of different beauty products while at the same time creating a unique gift experience.
Key to the success of a calendar is the creation of a high quality and attractive pack that both reflects the premium image of the contents and provides effective protection.
The All I Want box creates a sense of excitement on receipt through its size and high-quality graphics, using a hybrid of printed carton board over rigid board featuring rose gold foiling throughout the advent calendar. A matching ribbon that has to be untied to open the box increases the anticipation for the recipient giving a real gifting experience.
The two-door central opening jacket with magnetic closures reveals an array of beauty products inside. Just as with a traditional chocolate advent calendar, each carton for the individual products features a number relating to the day in December that it should be opened; and the numbered cartons are placed haphazardly in the main box, adding to excitement as the relevant product is located each day.
Again to mimic the traditional advent calendar, the final product for the 25th December, which was an exclusive for any advent calendar in 2018, is highlighted by being attached to the inside of the jacket rather than placed in the box. This signals the significance of this final item.
The insides of the jacket echo the front of the box, one side retaining the use of the foil pattern while the other features words that reflect positive human values and the senses invoked by the different products. The cartons are produced in various complementary colours and shades, including a copper mirror effect, and some use the foil pattern from the main box.
